Friday, 20 May 2005 01:53Today was a fun day off, to say the least. Note: chest almost 100% healed. One or 2 more days, it shall be fully healed.
It began with a Kat. We went to Wal-Mart to get my paycheck and deposit it in the various banks. We then went to the mall, whereupon we saw Ronny and Michelle. I bought my sister's birthday gift--the 5th Harry Potter book, and of course, stopped into Hot Topic and purchased my 5th video game shirt--a light gray or white colored shirt, and on it, 2 hands holding the big, gray brick that we called the original Game Boy, and just one line of text: "you'll always remember your first." In addition, I finally jumped onto the elastic wristband craze that's been sweeping the nation--I gave $1 to Hot Topic's charity to keep music in schools, and got a wristband saying something near and dear to me: music = life.
And boy, do I ever remember my first Game Boy. It lasted me 11 years before my stepbrother decided to take it apart so many years ago. Rob gave me his, which lasted another 5 or so years until he took that one apart too. From there, I went to the Game Boy Color (which also got broken by Rob--he stepped on it). Mom bought me the original GBA, and I bought my current GBA SP.

I also purchased C&T's game, his prize for winning last winter's Video Game Villains Character Battle contest...and oh, my god, for such a popular franchise, I looked in 4 places--and finally found it in the place I least expected: Sears. EB, FYE, and Best Buy--all gone. Sears had 4 brand new ones, and I snatched one up. So, C&T, the game shall be on its way. I'll need your full address again--I deleted it the first time.
I bought a $20 gift card to Hot Topic for my cousin Sarah, a birthday gift. Tomorrow, probably onto Wal-Mart to purchase my stepdad's gift, an MP3 player.
Kat, Michelle, and I did some DDR at the arcade, I ventured off for a little, then we met up with Cilla and Dave at the Olive Garden...where perverse hilarity remained supreme. Once again, I had an audience, and oh, so fun. Ronny deepthroated a couple of breadsticks, and...oh, yummy food! After, Kat and I drove back to her house, I attempted to fiddle with her DSL and remove 2 GB of crap from her compy, then back here where I talked to April.
And that's my day.
Tomorrow, another day off.
