Battle Royal, Day 23.

Just one day after MoonSword breaks the record for consecutive battles won, he shows no signs of stopping. Two classic characters went at it in the form of Bill Rizer of Contra fame going against Ridley from Metroid. Metroid remained on the minds of the voters, and so Ridley took the win there. On the other battle, Fran wiped the floor with Leen in a blowout win. MoonSword won these two battles as well to keep his streak going, now at 26 straight battles won. Saya's 22-battle win streak ends, as she picked Bill over Ridley. TetsuoTrunks also got both right to maintain a share of 1st with MoonSword. As for the leaderboard, it's getting crowded: 4 tied for 1st, 3 for 2nd, and 4 for 3rd.

You mincing little fungus!

So the weekend came and went, and now it's back to your regularly-scheduled work week. Ah, well. Fun times over the weekend, though--our live-in guest, so it seems, Dan H., came up for the weekend to visit. A couple games of Super Scrabble were had (and by the way, I love Super Scrabble. Same as regular Scrabble, but double the board and double the word multipliers. You could kill someone with a quadruple word score. Great fun.), and even though I had work Saturday morning at the studio, all was good. I got myself a new toy--a customized bowling ball fit to my hand. Been a long time since I owned a bowling ball custom-made to me (most of you already know what happened to my last one. If you don't, here's the quick version: when my parents moved to Cape Cod, I was in college, and had no say on what stuff of mine made the move. My former ball, several video game consoles, and an active aquarium got left in Ramapo), and as such, testing it out last night at the bowling alley proved that it's been such a long time since I bowled properly, that with a ball custom fit to my own hand, I bowled horribly. Gonna take some getting used to once again.

In other news, I completed my second game of the year tonight--2 before February, a shocker, I know. This one was Silent Hill 2. Overall thoughts: several hysterical moments in terms of gameplay, but overall very eerie and fucked up, as a Silent Hill should be. And short. It's a 10-hour game, max, and that's if you bother finding every item. There's no side quests or anything. However, it's a psychological thriller and not meant for side quests. Good game. Silent Hill 3 is next.

And with that, no further news to report. My journey in Silent Hill is not yet complete.
