Yeah, I'm such a nerd. SUCH a nerd.
As today, 9/11 is also the birthday of my LJ, A Bit of Wit, I went out and bought a cake mix, and made a spice cake in celebration of the 4 complete years the LJ has been in existence.
But still, happy birfday, A Bit of Wit!
This LJ began on 9/11/03--I just began my life as a college student in New Paltz a couple weeks prior, and our friend![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
littleaphid managed to get EVERYONE to jump on the LJ bandwagon. This was still back in the day when the only way to get on LJ (for free) was via friend codes given out by people.
Now, 4 years later, I've been all over the place, made some great friends (some of them from the far flung corners of the earth, one from Yee-Haw Land, and some right here), and I've had an April in my life for over 3 of those last 4 years. I'm out of college now, and trying hard to get back. I've gone from McDonalds to Wal-Mart to the NY Lottery. I've put on some weight. I've been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. I've learned how to drive and have my license. I've moved out of my parents' house and live with my love. I'm trying to get a photography career off the ground.
What to come in the next year? A promotion? My liberation from data entry? Going to Fenway Park? Finally making my return to college? Or better yet, an engagement to April, perhaps...she knows it's coming, but she doesn't know WHEN...I like the element of surprise.
I drink a toast (yummy hard cider) to the next year...and to toast. I like toast.
