A new natural disaster...adolescent children.
Saturday, 6 March 2004 00:38Comp II passed as it normally does on a Friday morning. After class, met Julio for lunch, and we chatted about life and such. We parted afterwards, he to class, myself to the Planet and FF7. Inside the all-too-familiar realm of the Shinra HQ, I slashed my way up to the 64th floor, which is my current position. More to follow in due time. Around 3 or so, I begrudingly made my way to work. Got my check, and went into GameStop to make sure I was right about the price of Eternal Darkness, and I was. However, curiosity struck. Since it was $13 used, how much was it new? Only $16. So I walked out with a brand new copy of Eternal Darkness, which I hope to begin Saturday Night. Surprisingly at work the first 4 hours were total deadsville, so the manager let about half the crew go home early. Sure enough, after they leave, total bedlam insues as a busload filled with some women's basketball team traipses in, starting the chaos. After they left, the NP middle schoolers and high schoolers kept coming in, in droves. Now...usually by 9 or so, the torment ends. But no...they continue to pour in, long into the 10 o'clock hour. Around 10:45 the torture ends, and to think...the village of New Paltz has a 10 PM curfew. I say bullshit. Drained, and the blisters on a couple of toes aching for attention did not help. My feet had officially died around 9:30 or so after a strange drawn-out dance of weaving in and out of employees. Promptly at 11, got the hell out of there. Got back, and my suitemates and my roomie were partying in the common room, complete with FIFA Soccer, Corona, gin, and Jack Daniels' whiskey. So, I tried a little whiskey, and found that it's awfully close to Tequila on the yuck list. The fruit juice that was mixed in didn't help matters too much to cover the overbearing taste of Jack. I went online, and chatted with Bri for a few, as I did Nick. Rach came online, and we talked for a little while. I wanted to stay longer, but...she has things to do, as did I--i.e, get this foul reek of McHeart Attack grease off me. Right after this entry, bed for me. 12-8 is my shift tomorrow...what fun. Tomorrow I begin Eternal Darkness, and it should be fun. Until next time we meet...
Nighty night, all.
Nighty night, all.
