The finer things keep shining through.
Saturday, 27 March 2004 20:50So I came back from work last night, and because of the glorious night, many of the campus populace were outside, soaking up the summerlike evening. Me, tired and drained, began to unwind from the night's rush, the immense chaos ensuing from the high school/middle school children. As a result of it, I didn't leave until 11:15 when the rush died. I spent until 2 AM talking to Sarah, a combination of online and phone. As much as I wanted to remain on, my face (as she and I would point out) looked like I was gonna pass out. In short, I was, and when I got off the comp and into bed, I passed out within minutes. Through the night, the people outside were cheering and hollering it up. Now, around 5 AM, I may have been dreaming, but the phone rang (I think). I picked it up, and I think I remember a dial tone, yet I said hello to it. Not getting an answer, I hung up and headed back to bed, noticing my roomie was still up and I could still hear college students partying it up outside. Keep in mind, this is 5 AM, mind you.
I wanted to smash my alarm at 10:30 this morning, since work was the last place I wanted to be. Shortly after I woke, Rach called, and we talked for a bit about the warm weather, how things are going for us and the happiness prevalent in the last week or so. I went to breakfast with Julio, then headed to work...where I enjoyed the benefits of working in Drive-thru for the first 3 hours of my shift. After break, the day seemed to slow down, and of course, another rush at the end of my shift prompted my manager to ask me to stay till 7:30, half an hour more. Finally, left with Ben and Michelle, and it was back to campus, where I now do laundry and remain online for whenever. 2 to 10 tomorrow, whee. Laundry, relaxing, and expecting phone call shall be my evening.
I wish someone could rub me all over...damn, I'm sore.
Till next time, friends. Nighty night, all.
