The flavor of your foot...
Thursday, 20 May 2004 20:22This is my second full day here, back home on the Cape, and the transition from dorm life to home life has been mostly seamless, except for the readjustment of the sleep schedule. I woke up at 10 today, and I thought..."wait, I'm supposed to be sleeping for another 4 hours, what is this?" It's great to be back home. I have gorged myself on home food these last two days--and I haven't even touched any seafood yet. I share a room (i.e., the basement) with Rob, and I'm trying to adjust to the smell of his wacky weed. The children have been at school, so I haven't had any issues with them yet. Tomorrow we celebrate Heather, Sarah, and Bob's birthdays, and I bought gifts for all. I've placed applications to several places, with more on the way. I'm gonna need income soon, and fast.
And the weather, beautiful! Nice springtime weather! Not oppressive! I went for a walk in the woods with Rob and the dog today after breakfast at H&K, down to one of the many cranberry bogs here. Beautiful...positively exquisite. We went to the mall for some shopping, then back here for dinner, then the whole family watched "Bill Cosby Himself." Now it's 10:45, and everyone's in bed. I sit here talking to April...and I love and miss her much...
I'm home.
