Did Sam Walton really envision that smiley face?
Tuesday, 8 June 2004 00:59These late nights, as much as I enjoy them, really have to start coming to an end...I went to bed at 4 AM, but I went to bed happy--I had done some Intenet digging and found the right driver for Sarah's cam, so that was my good deed for the night. However...I woke up at 11:30 this morning, to Rob's blaring music.
A side note: I've only woken up once by my own will since I've been home. Since everyone wakes up before 9 AM in this house, Rob turns on his music when he thinks I should wake.
Anyway, got out of bed and got ready for my first day at Wal-Mart. When I arrived, I got that blue vest, and away I went. I spent most of the 8 hour tenure doing these computer-based learning (CBL) programs, training of sorts. I'll be doing the same tomorrow...then, some register training, and I'll be in the Photo Lab with any luck. When I got back from work, I got my first little chat about my late nights online from my stepdad. It was only a matter of time. He told me that I really shouldn't wake that late, and not go to bed so late, since it's not fair to everyone to have to keep quiet until almost 12, when I wake. This means I must get my sleeping schedule in order, posthaste...meaning, I'm gonna have to be going to bed earlier and earlier. I feel so out of place...everyone in this house is in bed by 10, 11 at the latest, and Rob and I are the night owls. I can't go to bed at 10 anymore--I just can't fall asleep. I'll just lie in bed until 2 AM anyway. However, now that my job is in place, I'll kind of have to not be online until 3 or 4 AM, unless I really feel the need to. Not many of the usual night owls on tonight, but no matter. I work from 1 to 9 tomorrow, so I'll still have my usual nightly fun.
Nighty night, all.
