Well, I'm back after my weekend in Albany seeing April. A great weekend overall, except for what I'm feeling now...a sore back and unusual sleepiness--it's only 11:30. The rides there and back were fine, with the exception of a leaning bus coming out of Boston on Friday...the bus was leaning very heavily to one side, dangerously. So, we pulled over, and for 20 minutes, waited for another Greyhound to replace the listing bus. This lead to my arrival in Albany being 30 minutes late, where I was greeted by April and family, then shortly after, Jake--"40 pounds of spring-loaded muscle." I passed inspection, and the playful Beagle accepted me.
Bearing in mind, I had come to Albany with a little bit of apprehension about what impression I'd leave on the family. Thoughts of leaving a last will were flying in my head leading up to my arrival. I know nothing was to be gained from that, but...a little drop of nervousness wouldn't hurt. Turns out her brother is a lover of FF, excellent for me. So I showed off my FF music collection, and we chatted about games. The boy is a gamer. Yes, I found another one. Saturday would be fun, with swimming with April and playing with Jake all at the same time. This was followed by a Yankees-Red Sox game, which had a fight, some ejections, and wonderful fun at Fenway, where the Red Sox would pull an 11-10 win in the bottom of the 9th. During the game, I met April's aunt, who is a very zealous Yankee fan. Nice person. It can be fun when you're the only Boston fan in the room surrounded by Yankee fans. Heehee...then, Mel Brooks fun, accompanied by Pirate movie night. Then today...this time, not having Jake wake me. I didn't want to leave. However...I'll be seeing her again in 5 days, with Dan, Jackie, and Dan's parents for the camping trip, of which I talked to Dan at length tonight. Overall, a fun weekend. :)
Came back here around 7, and I've spent most of the night down here, alone. Heading to bed shortly.
My work schedule: Monday to Thursday, 12-9.
And as much as I want to stay up to chat to my friends...it doesn't look like a possibility. It's almost midnight, and I'm about to collapse.
I love you all. Nighty night.
