Happy Decemberween!
Saturday, 25 December 2004 00:4025 minutes into Christmas, and the anticipation nears. I'm feeling like an anticipating child.
(sigh) Despite all the shit that happened in the last 3 months, this will look to bring some wonderful light on the situation, some wonderful family being happy. Of course, my best present will come one day after Christmas, around 4 PM, when that Greyhound bus gets into Albany, and I see her face. Today, in the early hours of the evening, we relaxed, and Bob put on a compilation of Christmas music, played only by one guitar. It made me really wish that April was here, lying next to me. However, I must wait for another 27 1/2 hours.
Today, I woke at 11, courtesy of the Bob, because we were going out to have breakfast. Who am I to refuse food? So, we went and snarfed some wonderful diner food, then came back here. Bob, Mikey, Mariah and I went for a walk in Beebe Woods, where Bob and I discussed all things Tolkien and music. Lately, I've been thinking it about it, and after hearing Mason Williams' acoustic version of Classical Gas, I decided that I'm going to take up guitar. I love the instrument, and I want the ability to add another musical element to myself, and the thought of me singing and playing a guitar to my family and friends really appeal to me. Bob will teach me to play. :)
I got back home, and proceeded to burn several CDs, thus getting 400 MB of music off my hard drive (and onto Bob's computer as well). So now, my total number of mix compilations rose to 19. I talked to April for a little while before she went to her aunt's. Had dinner, and then was down here for a bit, online, before spending some time up with the family, drinking Earl Grey with Bob and David. Heather and Lisa made cookies for Santa, and I went back down just to miss Sarah by seconds. Talked to her for a few, and spent some more time online with Sputin and her. Coincidence and luck happened today--Sarah got both my Christmas gift and my card today, something I didn't expect--I bought the gift on eBay and bought the card within days of each other--and they both managed to get to her today, at the same time. :)
Poor Sarah...still sick. (hugs) I hope you feel better, hon.
Everyone went to bed, and I was up with the adults helping to place gifts under the tree...now most of us have retired to our rooms, and morning nears.
To all my friends and family, and especially to you, my love...merry Christmas. :)
Nighty night, all.
