I didn't know someone could die from a kick in the ass.
Saturday, 19 March 2005 01:49On the off day...
It was rather productive. It started off with Bob waking me for work--11:30, he told me, "let's go!" So, a sleepy, half-naked Brian came upstairs, and said groggily, "I'm off today." At least, that's what I thought it sounded like. "Oops. Sorry. Go back to bed."
So I did for another hour. After which, crawled out of bed, and realized I had the house entirely to myself. Hot shit. So, I blared Phantom on the big, huge stereo system we have in the living room, and the entire house was filled with the sounds of Phantom. After eating, I began the long, involved process of cleaning out my room, which I threw away reams of useless paper, like orientation papers from New Paltz, old bills from NP and MCLA, etc. I also found some pairs of clean underwear that managed to get buried. At least, I hope they were clean. Regardless, they were thrown into the basket. I also found my dress shoes, which I'll need soon. Mail came for me, and I am now wearing my Phantom necklace. The only thing still yet to arrive is the Josh Groban CD I ordered, which should arrive shortly.
After cleaning out the room, I called up the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Kingston, NY, since a possible place April and I will live is in Kingston--and talked to the personnel manager, telling him that I may be moving there and will probably be looking to transfer there in June. I just wanted to get my name in there, make him aware. Of course, there will be red tape--they'll need to see my evaluations, etc, much paperwork.
Then, I e-filed my MA tax return, and am looking to get nearly $300 more back. Yay funds!
Now that all the obligatory stuff was out, I played Soul Calibur II on my GC for 2 hours, and I rather enjoy it. Soon, I'll get good enough where April's brother Ryan won't kick my ass--he'll have a challenge. Moo ha ha.
Bob came home, and we went to Seafood Sam's for dinner. When we arrived, I felt very bad for the peons. We arrived 10 minutes before close, and if you have ever worked in fast food, especially closing shift, that's such a sin. Internally, you start swearing at the customers who come in 5-10 minutes before close. Sure, they smile at you, but inside, they're wishing you to go to hell. Nothing like having the place all cleaned up, all ready to go, ready to get out of there, then having to make food for a family. It was just us 4, but still. It's an unwritten rule in the fast-food world. Food was yummy, though.
We got back, and Bob gave me my second guitar lesson, which'll give me something to practice while I'm at April's house as well. After that was done, talked to April until nearly midnight, and here I am.
Work both Saturday and Sunday, oh goodie. So, I'll head to bed shortly.
Nighty night, all.
