Saturday, 23 April 2005 02:48And so the strange and coincidental just keep happening this week.
Gigi, our beloved assistant manager, moved to the Wareham store, as ordered by the social collective of rednecks. Scott, my boss, is moving to the store in Fall River. Leigh, the department manager in Photo, is moving to the position of head CSM. Ellen, who works in Photo, has her last day in a week before moving down south. As a result, Leigh has put up a job posting for a full time Wireless and Photo associate. The position of department manager for Photo opens on Monday, and I will apply for it.
The store manager at the Kingston Wal-Mart called Leigh today to get some background on me. Apparently, they JUST lost their full-time Wireless associate. By Kingston calling us, 300 miles away to get info on me (of which Leigh showered me with praise and said all positive to Kingston), this means that they are interested in having me fill the position--I have open availability, so...if they need me to work mornings, well, then I'm working mornings. We shall see. However, they are interested in me.
However, to my Wal-Mart friends, there's a full time, open availability position opening in Wireless! Join me!
When work ended, I went with Bob and Mom to the 99, ate, and saw the Red Sox lose. It was an exciting 8th and 9th inning too...Red Sox were down 4-1 going into the 8th, made it 4-2, tied it at 4 in the top of the 9th...then the first pitch to the Devil Rays batter at the bottom of the 9th...walk-off home run, Devil Rays won 5-4. Yankees lost tonight, so I'm not too upset.
Mailed out my payment for my GBA...hope to get that soon. Black Mages hasn't arrived yet, and it's been a week. With my luck, it'll stay in the system for the full 10 days.
Played some FF5, nearing completion.
And now bed.
