Joel, is this a snuff film?
Friday, 10 June 2005 11:01Today is the last day that I get to loaf around the place, for tomorrow at 10 AM, I begin my new (well, somewhat old, really) job at this Wal-Mart. I'm actually looking forward to it. It'll be nice to get back to work again. I'll probably end up regretting those words, and you'll once again find me regaling you with tales of how stupid the human race actually is, and how they can't find an item that's 2 feet in front of their face. Speaking of Wal-stupidity, I come to find out two days ago that the Falmouth Wal-Mart never mailed my last paycheck--the same check they said they mailed out over a week ago.
(headdesk)
So, I get a call from Rich on Wednesday, asking me for my address. He mailed out my entire employee file, which should be today. Rich said it'd be here "in less than 48 hours." So, if I don't get that by Monday, I'm going to not only be quite pissed, but ask Rich to pay my $100 to MCLA for the month--since that check is meant to go towards knocking out the bills for the month. With the MCLA bill due the 15th, I kind of need that check ASAP.
Yesterday, began writing Chapter 2 of my E.D. novelization, finishing Chapter One just a couple nights ago. I'm liking how the story is starting to build now, even though it's only Chapter 2. For those who have played the game, Chapter Two involves Ellia, the Corpse God, Mantarok, in the ancient temple in Cambodia. I won't post it on ff.net and nfiction.com until I finish Chapter Two, for my free time will be immensely reduced when I begin work.
Got a call from Lila yesterday, spent about half an hour on the phone with her. She's now making a regular habit of reading this online tome of mine. She was regaling me with the latest from Falmouth, about how she blew up at "Dick" Sullivan (the newest assistant manager in Falmouth), became the public enemy of Sprint, and how she wants to kill Tiffany. Amusing, all in all. Also talked to my sister, Heather, and according to her (and Bob) things are just getting more and more downhill after I left. The kids, apparently, have all become more rotten, being suspended from school is becoming very routine, Grandma's gone. To which I replied..."Not my problem anymore. I'm 300 miles away. Yay for not having to deal with petty bullshit!!"
I also had a long chat with Erica, good friend and former manager of mine when I worked at McD in Ramapo. Hopefully, we shall get together. I really need to make a trip to Ramapo a couple times this summer, one, to see everyone at McD; two, to spend some time with my friends who are out of college for the summer. Already, there are plans being made this summer for the RenFaire, always a pleasant experience.
Anyway, that wraps it up...the PS2 calls.
