Wednesday, 22 June 2005 08:42Well, it was a relaxing day off, to say the least. I spent most of it finishing Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, and...I was kinda disappointed by the ending. It's an unwritten rule in RPGs in that you can't beat the final boss on the first try. Yet...I did. I beat the Eye of Sauron very easily, and what followed was a brief cut scene, then back to the main title screen. No credits. No extended movies or epilogue. No unlockable features. Just...end. While the game itself wasn't bad (think a Middle-earth version of FF10, with a few elements of FFX-2), the end just felt very rushed. EA should stick to sports games...RPGs aren't their thing.
In other news, I'm gonna talk to Rich today about sending my check (again), and possibly have a nice argument with my department manager of Photo here about why I'm being scheduled beyond my availibility.
As for the RenFaire, we're looking at the first or second weekends of the Faire for us to go.
And to those people who want to enter SSM: You guys, I only have 6 brackets completed. You've got 9 days left before they need to be submitted. If I don't get more in soon, I'm not gonna hold a contest with just 6 people. Don't wait until June 30 to flood my inbox, please.
All right, off to work.
