Your ineptitude is my emergency.
Tuesday, 2 August 2005 12:13Nearly a week since my last real post. Don't worry. I'm not dead. Been rather busy, actually, what with work and seeing the human race go down in flames. Saturday was my day of rest, and so April and I headed to New Paltz, for her car needed a new muffler/tailpipe, so it could pass its inspection. For an hour, we stopped at the NP McD's and chatted with the store manager, Debbie. If there was one thing I miss about working at McD, it was the fact that Debbie was probably one of the most awesome managers I've ever had the pleasure of working for. So, we chatted, and after, we had a brief jaunt in October Country, and April held my wallet, otherwise I was going to go on a manga spree. April saw the original Nintendo version of Tetris, and wanted to get it...alas, we have no Nintendo. They were selling a used SNES and a Sega Genesis, $30 and $35 each, respectively. However, more restraint. The Renaissance Faire is this weekend, and so I must save what dollars I have left.
Speaking of which, I have managed to score 6 free admission passes to the RenFaire, which'll save everyone $19 a head for admission. Sara, are you still coming? As it stands, it's myself, April, Carolyn, and the two Dans, leaving me with one extra.
One negative about the upcoming weekend--when I return, I am scheduled to work 8 straight days. It's the price a peon pays when they want a weekend off, because no one wants to willingly give an associate a weekend off--it's the busiest days of the week.
After the time in NP, April and I headed up to her parents' house in Albany, and much food and fun happened--we were celebrating Aunt Tre's birthday. Also, some pool fun...then we had to return home, because I worked an 8 to 4 shift the next day. Poopy.
In the meantime, laundry awaits.
