Easter rush = Christmas?

I was there from 10-8...I was supposed to leave at 7, but because Photo had this massive wave of busy, I could not leave little Hope with 20-25 rolls all by herself. So, I ended up covering Allison's ass anyway, much to my annoyance, by clocking up 70 minutes of overtime which they'll make me get rid of on Friday. From 5 PM on, it was nonstop. It began when a woman dropped off a roll of film and demanded it posthaste--from her description, she was someone's girlfriend, and her son had found a disposable camera in the car. So we did, and discovered that the roll was entirely pornographic--her boyfriend had NOT been faithful to this woman--the roll contained oh, so unprintable pictures. When this woman saw these negatives, she, naturally, went livid. And promptly called up her boyfriend and screamed a slew of vulgarity. However, one little problem--her son was right next to her as she screamed foul filth.
She asked if we could make a CD of it, and run 1 print off just showing this woman's face. So Rob did, cutting off the picture at the point of tits. At this point, the guy comes into the store, and they begin to have it out all the way to the exit.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call caught red-handed. Idiot. If he was going to be engaging in acts of gratuitous sex with another woman and record it to memory, he should not have used FILM. WHERE SOMEONE CAN FIND IT. AND DEVELOP THE INCRIMINATING EVIDENCE.
Bedlam from that point, as the rolls just kept coming in. Allison had left abruptly due to Adam getting fired so she could console her boy, which meant the 12-9 shift was gone...meaning poor Hope would be alone after 7, when I was supposed to leave. With the increased business and massive amounts of rolls to devlop, PLUS having to deal with customers wanting cameras, I didn't get out of there until it finally died down, just after 8. Although not intentional, I found myself getting angrier at Allison for leaving her work to tend to her boy, who got fired for what seemed to be a very silly reason. Hope, too, was starting to get annoyed, wishing Allison hadn't left so abruptly. There is a time for chat and consolation, but please...don't abandon your job and leave others in the lurch. It's horrible work ethic and gets everyone pissed. It's something I've seen all too often when couples work in the same place--they don't have the ability to work separately: if something happens to one, then the other leaves, even if the one not in trouble is in good standing. When couples work in the same place, they tend to do things they wouldn't normally do--violate policy by taking considerably longer breaks, leaving everyone wondering when the hell the two will return; if one has a day off, the other will call out or simply not show up, and just adopt an I-don't-care attitude.
Needless to say, this isn't true of every couple who works in the same place. I've seen some perfectly wonderful couples who do have a great work ethic when they're on the clock, who come in, do the work, follow procedures and policies, and all is good. Maybe this is just conflicting with my annoyingly good work ethic that my stepfather pounded into me when I was younger, I don't know.
This is starting to go into a rant, something I didn't want this to end up. So, moving on.
April's birthday is in 30 minutes, and as I said to her, I'd let her have 1 birthday gift I got her. Of the 3, one hasn't arrived yet, so I'll have to make concessions for it. We go to Albany tomorrow for Easter dinner--I'll be bringing my camera along for pics, as well as tripod.
Monday, I have a 12-9 shift, then a 10-7 for Tuesday, then New Paltz on Wednesday, for the first time in over a month.
