Monday, 15 May 2006 09:16First off, Happy birthday, Dan!
Second, yes, I live. Took me a while to get this laptop to work with the internet hookup in the house--I discovered that the wireless is confined only to the 2 computers in the house, and to connect to the internet REQUIRED a direct hookup to the router. So now, I'm on my laptop doing monthly maintenance.
I've now been in Albany for nearly a week, I begin my new job on Thursday. April is now trying to get me to wake up at 7:30, 8 AM in preparation for the new job. Bah. This means I'll have to go to bed around 10 or 11 to get decent sleep. I haven't been to bed that early since...last night, actually, when sex drained our remaining energy.
Called up my family, wished my mom a happy Ma's day. Mary, the pic you took of us at the scenic view en route to Mohonk was the pic I sent Mom for Ma's day...she cried. Mission accomplished. My family is doing very well, and my stepdad sounds much happier this time--he finally got himself a day job again which will pay him more--Dan, this'll interest you--he'll be working for Deep Sea Systems, which is part of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. It'll be similar work to what he had when we lived in Ramapo. Instead of his current job where it's all production (program a machine, push a button, make a part, push button, make part, etc) there will be design and production involved. He's happy.
My sister has decided to take one step into maturity--she's applied to a Pier One that's on the Cape, and maybe she'll get her first job...IN RETAIL. MOO HA HA.
Rob's still Rob, I was glad to know that he's still working on his journeyman's license for plumbing.
And Jen is still pregnant.
And...I think that's it, really. Fooding. Tee-hee.
