For the RenFaire Party:
Saturday, 29 July 2006 20:40Ok. An update on the RenFaire front:
1) Chances are, I probably won't be able to get those free admission passes. In years past, due to the position my uncle was in at the Tuxedo Police, he was always the first person to get the passes. Now he's in a different position, someone else has them, and it's much harder for him to nab them. But he is trying. However, don't count on this, and so put aside $20 ($40 if you're going both days) for admission.
2) So far, everything seems go on this whole thing going through, even with my latest health issues. I will be calling Dan and family soon to chat about lodgings for April and myself, as well as a couple others that may need to be put up during the weekend.
3) I need to know a final tally of how many we have in the group. This is so we can work out who's got vehicles, who can drive, and who's going with who to and from RenFaire. Also, I need to know how many of you are going both days, or just 1 of the days for the same reasons I just mentioned. As far as I know, the group consists of this:
Myself
April
April's brother, Ryan
Dan H.
Dan D.
Carolyn
Sara C.
Mary (friend from New Paltz)
Mary's boyfriend
Again, please, let's have a final head count and have a final word on who else may be in this group. Dan H, if Danyelle is coming, MAKE THE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS. DON'T WAIT UNTIL FRIDAY. I AM NOT SAVING YOUR ASS AGAIN. (grins) Sara C., you mentioned Shanna and another also tagging along? Also, if anyone has an idea about how we may be able to lower admission (by way of finding coupons or some store doing a promotion) for anyone, I'm all ears.
So far, it looks good. As for my current health, I really am enjoying these drugs the doc gave me. I will be taking them with me for this trip. Last thing I want to be is a wet mop, dragging everyone down in the event my pain flares up and we have to pause the fun for my idiot small intestine. Colonoscopy will be scheduled sometime in the next 2 weeks. Also, thanks to everyone who has IMed me, left me LJ comments, and everything else to make me feel better about what I may have, and the upcoming tests that are going to determine what I have. Makes me feel really loved. I do miss all of you, and I'll be seeing a number of you in a week. Can't wait.
