In chipotle vinaigrette.
Sunday, 27 August 2006 21:26It's been an interesting weekend here in the TARDIS...um, the apartment. April's brother was here for the weekend, so fun was had. As also many video games. It was a Sonic weekend, so it seemed, as we played the classic Sega games. Ryan got to see my RenFaire pics, as well as Dan's and Sara's. I'm working on getting the rest of them prepped to be uploaded to Mad Squirrel and Photobucket, as well as getting them distributed to where they need to go. Saturday was spent doing some exploring of what's around our apartment complex, and we went to the Rotterdam mall. It's a nice small mall, similar to the one in Kingston--has all the important stores--an EB, GameStop, and a Hot Topic. Spent some money in Spencer's, got an RE4 wall poster--it's the classic pic of Leon getting his head lobbed off by Chainsaw Dude. April, with her newfound obsession to the classic BBC show, Doctor Who, got a DVD set of the very first episodes of the series--in 1963.
And the show is still running today. 43 years later. Dayum.
Back home, we played Monopoly, in which April kicked both our asses. Later, we'd play Life, in which April won again. However, I introduced them to the game of Clue, and they like it. Today, April's parents came to drop off the rest of our stuff that we still had over at their house, which is now sitting in boxes scattered about the living room. We have to clean the place again.
In other news, April and I are getting ready for our 2nd RenFaire trip of the season--since Labor Day is a paid state holiday, it'll be just the two of us this time. We managed to book a motel for 1 night in Kingston, because we don't wanna make the 2 hour drive from Schenectady at once. It'll be the first time in 4 months since I've been in Kingston, but it's only for 1 night--the day before Labor Day.
Then of course, and this is a note for Wyatt, Shanti, Ben, Brie, and Mary: we're inviting you--no, dragging you--to the RenFaire with us on the last weekend of September, which is the closing weekend of the Faire. So make your plans and save your money now. :)
And that's it for now. Now to hop in the shower.
