Bit better vote turnout today, enough to keep going. My apologies for last night's rant--it is annoying to do this and get so little yield, and I hope I didn't put some of you off. I do know for certain that a number of you are on vacation and will be back soon. But now, for a note: Monday night marks the END OF ROUND 1. On Monday night, when the battles end, we are going to have a 2-day halftime break. I will also most likely be recording a podcast as I did for the last contest. It's good timing, because I won't be able to update the contest on Tuesday anyway: I'm going to SPAC to see the Dave Matthews Band. :D But on Monday, I may also do a live Skype halftime show if any are willing to listen in. If so, it'll be around 8 PM ET this Monday, after I tally up all scores and stats to that point.

CONTEST NOTE: Pointed out to me was an incorrect character picture--the picture of "Claris" in the Claris vs. Axel battle is actually NiGHTS from NiGHTS Into Dreams. I have been given the correct picture of Claris, and it will be used in the second round. Thanks for pointing it out and sending me the correct pic!
