I like cool weather. I don't like when we have a string of warm days, which is then followed by a day of windy chill. This wreaks havoc, apparently, with my sinuses, and now I'm wishing for a new nose. It always amazes me how much snot one nose can produce. Ah, well. I've got Sudafed. Yes, the real stuff--the stuff you now have to show ID in order to buy, because the government's afraid I'll make meth.

So last Sunday's D&D session was loads of fun, after we attempted to remember where the story was--last time we played was in November, so...lucky for me, I had notes. We (Peter, Erica, Luc, and I) went at this for 8 hours, eating some lovely food made by the April. She retired to her lair so as to not get eaten by the D&D that was going on, when she wasn't making food or coming up for air. With any luck, we'll pick this up on Saturday.

I also got my financial aid letter from Sage--as expected, because I'm financially independent, making less than $30,000 a year, I make too much, and therefore can't qualify for any grants. I have to be living below the poverty line, and even then, that might not be it. So the only things I can get are--what else--student loans. However, I won't need the full amount of loan money, which is good. I was hoping not to have to add to my student loans, but without it, I'm staring at a bill of about $2500 per semester (and that's just taking 2 courses each semester). If paying $1250 last semester was murder on my finances, this will drag both April and I into the gutter...at which point I may actually qualify for TAP or Pell grants...excuse me while I piss all over government bureaucracy.

April and I also renewed our lease for this apartment, so we will definitely be here at least until the end of July, 2010. Maybe by then I'll be making enough money to increase my course load and try to finish college sooner. The quicker it takes, the better, and the quicker we can move the hell out of New York and into Massachusetts.

And now, for the serious part of the post. It doesn't happen often.

You may now get on with your regularly scheduled lives, already in progress. But before you do, wish a happy 25th birthday to Tetris. :)
