Writer's Block: This material has been censored

I believe that government has absolutely no right to censor the media. Government already controls peoples' lives enough as it is; censoring something because it may offend someone is ridiculous. Look at how far the US goes in censoring stuff, and it's ridiculous. For example, words that can be considered "swear" words are frequently bleeped out--why? It's part of the language. We'll even go so far as to show 99% of a woman's breast, but as soon as a nipple is shown, panic ensues.
It goes back to that old cliche: you can't please everyone. When did we become, as a society, so offended by our own culture, our own ways of life, that we have to bleep and blur out words and body parts? When did we become ashamed of ourselves?
All censorship does is control.
