Signups for Character Battle 12 have begun!

Welcome to my 12th character battle contest! The theme for this contest is a brawl between sidekicks and secondary characters from a vast array of games new and old! This is a standard single elimination style, comprised of 64 characters divided into two divisions. The object here, as usual, is to gain the most points by correctly predicting winners of each contest battle, in order to win the prize!

Changes from the last contest are as follows:

1) Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. My attempt in the last contest to gain more people by offering 4th and 5th place prizes failed, so it's back to 1st-3rd.

2) The layout of the bracket on Bracket Maker is a bit different. Instead of having separate brackets for each contest division, I've now combined the two into one giant bracket. The divisions are still there, but now each division moves toward the championship battle in the center; for those familiar with say, an NCAA March Madness bracket, that's what it looks like. This was done to make it easier for you to make your choices instead of having to go back and forth between brackets to make your final picks, and also to save on paper when I go to print out the brackets.

Everything else remains the same.

Signups begin now, and end at 11:59:59 PM on Saturday, June 26. The contest begins on Monday, June 28, at around 7:30 PM ET.
