VGH: Summary Post--Nibelhelm, Round 1

Seeing as how the tournament field is larger than it usually is, I usually do one of these up at the end of each round. However, that post is usually large (with many words), so I think I will attempt to shorten it a bit by recapping the divisions, as opposed to an entire round.

So, the first division is finished for now, and most of you have begun on a good note, some more so than others. The first 2 battles were excellent, with almost everyone getting a perfect score to start. Vote turnout was very high, and very good. I hope it keeps up as we keep moving here.

Two big highlights of this opening division was the small tear that Fragments began, holding a perfect score through the first 11 battles before dropping to Eyes, who currently holds the top spot. Second was the big upset as Isaac beat Ameterasu from Okami by a single vote, with Isaac the underdog, which was what cost Fragments the lead and the perfect score.

So far, in scoring, we are in blobs of positions--big mounds of people tied for various places, as you'll see in a minute. As for tonight's battles, the favorites won very handily, Ness easily beating Jenna; and Sora clobbering Ashley Riot. A hand to all of you: all 21 of you correctly predicted Sora to win--nice way to begin and end a division. All 21 of you had correctly picked Cloud to win in the first battle of the contest. The 2nd round of Nibelhelm Division (which won't be for another 3 weeks or so from now) looks like this:
