Oh, ye PG&E...what? I'll hold.

Yeah, I know. Been a while. But first, let's get this out of the way--the answers to the questions Dan D. and Carolyn asked me during the rampant interview meme about a week or two ago.
1. What the hell have you been up to lately, man?!
Life. Lately, been doing the usual--work, video games, my latest contest, assorted sex; but recently, renewed my learner permit, April and I took out a loan and bought a new (used) car, and I'm in the process of re-setting up my aquarium.
2. Is there a person/character--real or fictional--that you would be gay for, and if there is, who and why? (Apologies to April! XD )
Yes, there is--at the moment, he's fictional. I'm surprised you don't know this--everyone else does. The ONLY male I'd be gay for is the character Sephiroth from the video game Final Fantasy 7. Not only is he an amazing character, but he's the only male I can call hot. Play the game sometime, watch the movie Advent Children--you'll see what I mean.
3. Possibly one of those great unanswerable questions, but try your best: just what IS it about British humor that makes it so wonderful?
Easy. John Cleese. Rowan Atkinson. Who's Line. Doctor Who. Monty Python. Mr. Bean. Fawlty Towers. It's wonderful in the sense that there is more creativity, more license for better (and uncensored, filtered, processed) humor that you just can't find in the USA. Just ask George Carlin--he'll give you the list of all the impolite words you can't say on TV.
4. Country western music: toe-tapping goodness or are you putting the gun in your mouth as you read this?
Like, gag me with a spoon.
5. Agh, I'm getting all verklempft! ::pats chest in distress:: Tawlk amongst yehselfs. No wait, I'll give you a topic: global warming is neither global nor warming--discuss! (i.e., Your opinions on the
matter?)
Thought you weren't one for pop culture. ;) I think it's a bit of both, really. Humans are the most wasteful and most consumerist species on the planet. As a result, this increased waste (and population), especially in the industrialized nations of the world, are not doing wonders for the environment at all. We have scientific facts that the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere is causing a gradual increase in temperature. We are not taking advantage of the abundant natural, renewable resources that we can obtain--wind, solar, water power. All feasible. Why don't we do it? Because we are a society of greed. There's no instant money to be made, like with oil. If you wanted to fit your house, for example, with solar panels, the investment you make won't return to you in full for several years--no one wants to wait years to see their money back, they want it now. On the other hand, this planet has gone through extreme climate change before--we've had an ice age or two, and periods of extreme heat. So, I think that we're seeing a warming trend here on a global scale--we're just probably helping it along.
Still, when we run out of oil, the Amish are going to laugh, and laugh, and laugh some more. Oh, and laugh.
1) If you could be in a Final Fantasy game, a Legend of Zelda game, OR a Mario game, which would you choose?
Final Fantasy, hands down. While I love the other two, I find that I really enjoy the complex story lines and plot twists that only can come in an FF game.
2) What stage musical would you want to star in most, and who would you play?
Isn't it obvious? I'd want to be in Phantom of the Opera, playing the Phantom. (grin)
3) What's your favorite hentai?
Ha ha. Different favorites for different criteria, m'lady. If we're looking at it strictly from a plot point, then I'd probably have to go with Spy of Darkness. The action in it isn't bad also. However, of all the hentai I've seen, that has the most coherent (and best) plot so far. In terms of sheer hilarity, I have two that run neck and neck with each other--The Weather Report Girl and La Blue Girl. They're titillating as they are funny.
4) What's the one thing you would do if you knew you would suffer absolutely no consequences for it?
Honestly? Make love with as many women as I could...all women are beautiful to me.
5) What makes a person deserving of your respect?
Someone who treats me with the same kindness and fairness that I give to them. A sense of humor (the strange the better) is a plus.
In other news, overtime is coming up at work again, so I'm gonna take 9 hours of it. My next toy to purchase for my compy is an external DVD drive--I WANT SCREENCAPS TO MAKE MORE LJ ICONS WITH. I went up to the Plus level, I wanna make full use of it. So I'm hoping the money earned will help me get there.
But for now, a contest update.
