Battle Royal: The Eve of Battle.

Well, well, well. Here we are on the eve of the eighth and final large-scale character battle contest (done by me, anyway). We have a record field of turnout, 30 people total, all vying for a chance to win 2 video games of their choosing. Thank you all for entering. I'm sure this final contest is going to be one for the ages.
While everything remains the same in terms of setup, point system, and overall running of the contest, a couple of things have changed since the last contest.
One, battles will NOT be posted in threads, which was the case on the old Fantasy World. As the boards don't have poll functionality yet, battles will be done right on the main page. I am using PollCode as the place to generate my HTML so that the battles will be present right on the front page. Membership to FW is not required to vote. Battles will still be posted here in LJ as well: once again, you can vote in two places--FW and LJ.
Two: because of the sheer amount of entries, leaderboard updates will be done once a week, as well as in the podcasts planned for the contest. However, if you are curious and want to know your score and position, you can let me know at any time. The leaderboard will be posted in LJ as well.
And that's really it for the major changes. Here is how the leaderboard will be presented:
Once the contest starts, everyone will have a win-loss record and if they have a streak, it will also be listed. Points is self explanatory, Battles Behind shows how many correct battles you need to catch up to the leader, Days in 1st/last are used only to show the current streaks of those who are in 1st and last, Win Pct shows what percentage of battles you got correct. Above the scoring, the spots marked "Battle Result" are where I'll put in battle results, but that may change.
The stuff on the bottom is primarily for my own use, it's just more stats for me.
And that's really it. Any questions, please ask. Contest begins tomorrow at 7:30 ET with the opening two battles in the First Donuts division: (1) Mario vs. (32) Tingle; (17) Pikachu vs. (16) Raiden. These battles will be in my LiveJournal as well, so vote there as well.
