a_bit_of_wit_2 / Open audition, anyone? (Reply)

It's been a weekend of technical failure in regards to getting this halftime podcast recorded. Yesterday, 5 minutes before we begin, Skype updates itself and in doing so, has killed my USB headset (as in, it don't work anymore; as in, no computer recognizes that a USB headset is plugged into the system, and no computer provides power to the device anymore; as in, BROKEN), and has made my Skype recording program not work as it's supposed to either. So, in a last attempt, I bought a USB microphone, and it works. Downside is, and it's not really much so, is that the mic picks up everything. However, it now works in my favor--I can use the program with Windows, Sound Recorder, to record podcasts. The mic will pick up the sound coming from the monitor speakers and picks it up enough to have a decent audio sound. Nowhere perfect, but it's passable.

So, I am recording the Halftime podcast tonight. Joshie had to bow out, because he's sick. So, if anyone wishes to record with me, I'll be starting around 8:30 PM tonight. Just reply to this post if you're interested. If no one replies, then I record myself. Regardless, SOMETHING is getting recorded.
