Somewhere, a purse hits a floor.

One of my pet peeves, probably one of the biggest, is when people leave during the middle of a concert--especially after one pays good money to be there, and also after you've been at the concert grounds for several hours for said show. Leaving the show in the middle of it simply to beat the eventual traffic jam at show's end is absolutely no excuse. It's rude to the performer, and it's rude to those who have manners.
Regardless, this did not stop me from enjoying a truly amazing concert at Tanglewood last night--James Taylor and Carole King put on a wonderful show. Despite the heat, April and I found a spot in the shade on the lawn about 3 hours before the show started (last year, we got to Tanglewood 2 hours early, and even that was way too late). So, during the wait, we ate, I napped, and then sat in for a great show. The two played their hits, and so we were serenaded for nearly 3 hours. And just for good measure, they brought out Yo-Yo Ma for a couple of songs. The set list:
Something in the Way She Moves
So Far Away
Machine Gun Kelly
Carolina In My Mind
Way Over Yonder
Smackwater Jack
Country Road
Sweet Seasons
Mexico
Song of Long Ago
Long Ago & Far Away
Beautiful
Shower the People
(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman
-Intermission-
Where You Lead I Will Follow
Crying In The Rain
Steamroller Blues
Sweet Baby James (feat. Yo-Yo Ma)
Jazzman
Will You Love Me Tomorrow?
Your Smiling Face
It's Too Late
Fire & Rain
I Feel The Earth Move
You've Got A Friend (feat. Yo-Yo Ma)
Up On The Roof
How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)
You Can Close Your Eyes
All in all, a great concert. We'll be back in Tanglewood in 2 weeks, this time with Wyatt & Jess. We'll be seeing a performance of Beowulf, read in the original Old English, with harp accompaniment. So, since we can bring food, April wants to bring food indicative of the period that Beowulf is set in. Any ideas?
