Saving her from the deadly field mouse.
Monday, 21 June 2004 11:10Yesterday, the one day off. I enjoyed it. Woke to Rob, and went online for some FF tournament stuff. Played Gran Turismo 3...the first video games I've had in over two weeks. I called April in the afternoon and we chatted...but she heard me get angry as the children kept hounding me and asking me to do needless shit. I almost ripped my sister's head off yesterday...stupid children. The day turned a little sour for me as more financial matters came up...
I can't help feeling that I'm working for nothing. I got my first paycheck...and I have to give it all to my stepfather. I work 45 hours a week, trying to earn money so I don't have to worry about deregistration in North Adams, should I need to pay money out of pocket. However, with the house taking my earnings...I feel...pissed. I mean, I don't mind helping out the family, not at all...but is it wrong to want to actually keep the money you earn? I was so happy when I got my paycheck--biggest paycheck I've ever seen for me yet. And all of it is gone, given because we need to make a payment on the car or we lose it. (sigh) It'll get paid back to me...eventually. I do want to continue my college education...that would be the reason I'm working. If I keep having to shell out money, forget college. Forget making plans to go camping. Forget going to Albany to see my girlfriend. Forget traveling across the country to see friends.
With that on my mind, I talked to Sarah in the wee hours of the morning, and felt much better. Best friends have a way of doing that. (hugs)
Now, feeling all right, I head to work.
And remember, still taking entries for the FF contest. 1 week left. http://nemiseph.suddenlaunch2.com or http://tiduskingdom.suddenlaunch.com.
Have a good one!
