The dogs are licking me for the salt. It's not their position.
Thursday, 1 July 2004 00:04I'm an alien, I'm a legal alien, I'm an Englishman in New York...song stuck in my head all day. Time for something new.
Oh, yes--a bit of wit (and some syncronisity as well): On the way to RI today, I listened to Sting's "Englishman in New York." Catchy tune, I liked it, and while we were driving around with Grandma, I asked for it to be played again, which it was. We pull into the supermarket, and once inside, I noticed..."Englishman in New York" was playing throughout the store. Now there is something that rarely happens, and I got a kick out of it.
Anyway, tonight I went ocean fishing for the first time, after getting off the phone with April. Very similar to freshwater fishing, except the rods are about 1 1/2 times my height, and heavier, which means to cast, I have to swing the thing like a baseball bat. About 1 1/2 hours we were there, and the sky was beautiful--full moon, some light clouds, some stars, the moonlight reflecting off the ocean as the tide came in...quite serene. Caught nothing, but had fun regardless. Then it's back here, for online time.
It looks like an early night for me, since it's a little after midnight, and I'm wiped. Could be because...maybe I got around 6 hours of sleep last night? If that? At 1 AM, the current FF battles close. I'll update those, get my tallies in, and probably go to bed if no one else comes online. From Thursday thru Monday, I work 12-9. Pay day tomorrow, and I have to request days off for the second to last weekend in July...looks to be a visit to April and family...slight nervousness here. Then the following weekend, camping trip with April, my friend Dan, and his girlfriend Jackie. The following weekend, college orientation at MCLA for transfer students. Meanwhile, I'm still searching for a way to see if I can see Sarah. God's still laughing...
