Music has the power to evoke a wide range of emotions. Listening to this piece, I feel tears welling up inside my eyes...it's so beautiful, yet seems so sad at the same time. It's the Prelude from Final Fantasy, which gives me chills every time I hear those haunting piano notes. Yet, this particular version of it, played in a different key, makes it sound so beautifully sad. Definitely a "farewell" piece.

However, when followed up by "Requiem (The Fifth)" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, from the album "Beethoven's Last Night," I want to be in front of a full orchestra, waving my arms wildly. Lord knows I have the hair for it.

But, moving on. I woke the first time at 10:30 AM (after going to bed near 5:30) when the phone rang. It was his dad asking for Darwin (Kaz's real name), and for about 10-15 minutes, I had my eyes closed, but I could hear the two of them, their voices raised, bellowing Portuguese. I fell back to sleep smiling. When I woke again, it was just after 1 in the afternoon. I looked to see if my paycheck cleared (which normally happens when I deposit it on a Thursday) and found that it hadn't. Knowing my luck, God knows that I plan to go Christmas shopping this weekend, and He'll arrange it so that my check won't clear until Monday, shooting my shopping plans out the window. However, a couple of objectives got done today:

1: Called my former manager, Scott, from Wal-Mart. He told me that he didn't have an opening in Wireless or the Photo Lab, but getting back into Wal-Mart would be no problem. I'll have to re-apply to Wal-Mart (since I didn't work for them 6 months...grr, blasted red tape), talk to Scott, and he'll arrange employment for me. Hopefully, I can get into Electronics or Jewelry.

2: Paid for Sarah's gift.

I hope my check clears, so I can pay Cingular. But, after that, got back here where I was online and gamed, spending most of the day doing so. Ian is interested in signing up for the contest.

I'd been thinking what I was going to do for a prize for the winner of the Video Game Villains Character Battle Contest. John gave me an idea, and I mulled it over, and it's what I'm going to do.

For this contest, the winner will receive from me a copy of the game that has the winning villain in it. If they own it already (or don't own the system it's for), then they get to choose from any game that the four Division Winners are in. If that doesn't work, then I'll probably just buy the game of their choice and send it to them. So, yes--for all of you who enter, you have a shot at a free game from me. Check out Into the Lifestream and/or Fantasy World and sign up!

Got some food at the Xtra Mart, and chatted with April while talking to the former KBH online. Now, I'll do some gaming. Maybe Sarah will be around later.

Nighty night, all.

EDIT: Paycheck cleared! I'm going Christmas shopping today!
