What? Don't look at me like I'm a total, certifiable wacko. Ian really is going around to all of us asking for us to shave his nuts. Personally, I refuse to put my razor there. I did it once myself, and I've since decided, never again!!! Unless, of course, you want to be itching your groin for 4 days straight. If you like that feeling of a sandpapery crotch, go right ahead. Don't say I didn't warn ya.
I woke up at 1 PM via the phone again. It was Kaz's dad, and when I picked up, I heard, "can I speak to Darwin?" Kaz is Darwin. Darwin is his real name. Ever since I saw The Wild Thornberrys, Darwin will forever be equated with Eliza's monkey-like thing. I had to hold back a laugh as I told Darwin the phone was for him. Today's objectives: 1) Finish my Christmas shopping, 2) Pay Cingular.
Since my paycheck cleared, I went to the Berkshire Mall...but not without some anger and frustration. So, here's the story.
MCLA offers a van shuttle service, free of charge (really, it's part of the tuition, one of those fees somewhere) to places out of town, downtown, places where walking can take a long time. Berkshire Mall is such a place, since it is a half-hour drive from the campus. Anyway, the schedule had said that the van goes to the mall at 11 AM, 1 AM, 3 PM, and 5:30 PM. So, at 2:45, I left for the van stop, in front of Hoosac Hall. I could see a van leave Hoosac, but it was before 3, so I assumed that it was doing a run downtown. I was the first to arrive at the stop. About 7 or 8 others showed, also bound for the mall. 3 PM passes, and we expected it to be a few minutes late. Yet...3:20 comes around, and it doesn't show up. Someone, getting a bit irate, goes to Public Safety to see what's up. They call the driver, but her phone isn't on. By a little after 3:30, everyone has left, pissed. I'm standing out there until nearly 4 when the van returns. Turns out that the one that left at 2:45 was the mall run.
GRR! You have a schedule, STICK TO IT! DON'T LEAVE 15 MINUTES EARLY!
So, I got back, had breakfast (this was 4 PM), and then caught the 5:30 run to the mall. All shopping was complete. I had 8 people left to buy for, and I ended up spending about $160-180 in total, getting nothing for myself except food. So, here it is, the final list of what everyone got:
