Santa John!
Monday, 20 December 2004 01:13My mind has been quite active the last two days, and a sense of settling sadness has found its way into me. I won't let this build up inside of me, so I'll use the medium of LJ to express my mind once again.
With two days left in the semester, I have begun to pack my stuff, clean my side of the room, take my posters and the Wall of Sox down. As I have, I've begun feeling depressed. For me, there is no excitement of going home and return in a month. For me, this is it. In two days, I'll once again leave the friends I've made, this time at MCLA. In two days, I'll pack my stuff in the van and we'll drive away, never to return. Everything just seems so final. Everyone will be back in college in a month...I'll be hundreds of miles away from most of my friends, my girlfriend. I'll be back in that madhouse of 11 others, hoping to keep my sanity intact. On Tuesday, that's it; no more college for me for a long time. I know that this funk I'm in is only temporary, and it will go away in short time, but oh, does it hurt. It just feels so final. However, this is the path that life has given me, and I must make the best situation given the shit circumstances life threw at me. In the meantime, I've got finals over the next two days, and then it's over. Probably the only thing comforting me at this point is the fact that my roommate, Darwin, got the same fate as me, and all his plans to make this a room a single, etc were dashed. Hopefully, this is a lesson to him.
(sighs) But life goes on.
Now, with that out of the way...I woke up near 3 PM, which I didn't expect to do. I began to get pics for each villain for VGV when someone whom I haven't spoke to in over a year called me, my friend Gene. Talked to Annie for a bit, then went bowling with Javie, Ian, Megan, Patrice, Emily, and Jay. We were there for nearly 4 hours, and fun was had. Got back and mobbed the returning John and his Santa hat, and...it's snowing very heavily out there. Despite the wonderful whiteness, people are thinking finals might get cancelled. Haha, right. Maybe if snow reaches up to the B5 floor, then maybe they'll consider it. As it stands, I've got a Modern World final at 3:30, and I have to finish packing and cleaning tomorrow. Anyway, talked to Sarah briefly before she left to whatever her plans were, and I'm here, feeling a little better after writing that. Not fully, but it's a start.
Nighty night, all.
