I mean, 11:30 in the evening. You mean, at night?
Thursday, 10 March 2005 01:48The day after Cape Cod became an ice sheet...
...nice and sunny. With a lot of blown powdery white. So, on this, I went to work. Last night, around 2 or so AM when Bob came home, he IMed me, telling me he was worried about me. Last weekend, he's noticed me unusually quiet, and not the usual smiling me. Much happened last weekend, and it weighed heavily on my mind then. Now, everything is all right, sorted, and talked through, so back to me. I explained the events of the past weekend to him, and he replied at first, "Boy, I was way off."
Apparently, he thought my unusual quietness and heavy mind and heart was the result of him. There's that social hypochondriac again, making a false situation regarding my moods. I wanted to tell him that the world doesn't revolve around him, but I said nothing more, and apologized if I worried him. However, I am looking forward to this weekend--he begins showing me how to play the guitar. Oh, I can't wait!
So, work passed rather slowly until the last hour, when a woman wanted to set herself up with a family plan on Cingular. This took me until 9:30 before she was out the door. She came around 8, and she was quite indecisive. We spent 30-35 minutes talking about all the plans and stuff from all the carriers, another 20-25 to write out the contract and activate the phone...and then, right at the crucial moment where I print out the contract and everything's good to go--the computer shits the brick, tells me that there's an error, contact Cingular to finish the activations, which took me another 15-20 minutes. Now it's 9:20, she's the only customer left, and finally it all gets done. Hopefully Scott doesn't get annoyed by the fact that I added 30 minutes of overtime. Speaking of which, his boss is here tomorrow, so he's on edge slightly.
Came home, chatted with April, and yesterday we came to the fact that we'll get married March 26, 2011, and have kids some time later. We came to these dates using my "Random Year/Month/Date generator," and so the dates were penciled in my Palm Desktop. So, marriage, procreation, and childbirth have all been penciled in.
After, I ate, and have been here since, a very quiet night tonight. Tomorrow, pay day!
Dan H, Prairie Home is coming to Tanglewood on July 2nd. You game?
Everyone else, James Taylor is coming to Tanglewood from July 4-5. Game?
Nighty night, all.
