Why are you buying all the stuff that says, "great for baby"?
Saturday, 7 May 2005 02:01So, it's decided. I'm signing the lease this Tuesday. Then it will be completely official. April paid the holding deposit, so the apartment is now held for us.
This morning, Rob and I decided to go to Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast, and he also decided to so something silly. He actually did this last night--with one week to go before his doctor told him to remove his cast (because he broke his hand after punchng a wall last month)...he removed it himself because he couldn't take it anymore.
After, headed back home, and I printed out the letter. Before I left, I left the letter on the table (Bob was still sleeping), left a Post-It for him, and went to work...where it was quite fun. Because we associates now have gone over 60 days without an accident, we were rewarded: ice cream and pegging the management with water balloons. $1 for 3 balloons...and there were associates readily giving 5, 10, even 20 dollars. I put in nearly 10, and we nailed the management with water balloons, myself pegging Rob, department manager of automotive, in the balls with a sidearm breaking ball. Someone pegged Carolyn, store manager, right in the face. And of course, two of us went to the roof and started pegging them from above. Much fun, and by its end, we had very soaked managers.
When I left work, talked to April for a bit, came home and watched the special features DVD of Phantom...and the special features are nearly as long as the movie itself: 2 documentaries (one on the history of the musical, the other "the making of" the movie), and 1 additional scene where the Phantom sings a short song, "No One Would Listen." It's set to the same tune as the end credits song, "Learn to Be Lonely." Listening to "No One Would Listen," it really does make you think that Erik has a heart big enough to hold the world. Wonderful tune.
And that's basically today. Tomorrow, work 1-9.
