A new ice-cream novelty bar.
Friday, 8 July 2005 10:03Told you I'd come back with a real post. However, if you haven't voted in the current battles (3 and 4), go back to the previous entry and vote.
The last 2 days have been tiring and annoying, to say the least. I worked two 12-9 shifts, yesterday and Wednesday. Wednesday, I ended up staying until 9:40 because one of those stupid redcoats wouldn't hit that little button on their Palm that could open my register. Five times I paged for one, and nothing. It finally happened when a customer wanted to be rung out. However, that wasn't the main point. The department manager of Photo, my scheduling manager, had asked April to leave after a customer complained that I seemed to be more interested in her than helping the customer. First of all, April was waiting quietly for me as I was waiting to be cashed out. Second of all, if the customer needed help that badly (which, as it turned out, she needed help with a cell phone car charger. I love when customers don't want to read packaging.), she could've got my attention, which she didn't. As a result, April left pissed.
And of course I'm interested in leaving work...I was supposed to be out 30 minutes prior.
Yesterday was a day without management, always a wonderful thing. However, April expected me out late like the day before. I got out exactly at 9, didn't see her in the parking lot, and walked home. Got a call from her, she was in the parking lot.
We're gonna have to time this better.
In other news, I DID get August 6 and 7 off, so I'm going to be in Ramapo that weekend, along with RenFaire fun! Mark those calendars--I'm coming to Ramapo for the first time in a year and a half. For that weekend, one day will be spent at the Faire, the other, a hang-out day. I'm sure it'll make up for not being able to go camping.
Also, Bob and crew may be coming down this weekend to visit April and I, and we've planned for a day trip on the Delaware for tomorrow, weather permitting. I'm rather excited. :)
