Tuesday, 12 July 2005 23:04Told you that real post was coming eventually. Battles 13 and 14 up, go to the previous entry and vote if you haven't.
Work's been worklike--they've begun the remodeling at this Wal-Mart. Currently, Photo has been reduced to something akin to my former dorm in Deyo Hall--yes, a closet that's supposed to hold 3 people. However, It'll be about one-third the size of Electronics when it's all done--nice and big. However, I get a chuckle as I see customer stupidity once more. Despite the carts, orange cones, caution tape, and a big gaping hole in the concrete in the center of Photo...people still refuse to walk around it, and cut through the construction area as a shortcut. All day today, it seemed, people were just in a rush. This afternoon, the place was a madhouse--the lines at the registers looked as if we had Saturday volume. I mean, don't these people have jobs? If so, I want their jobs.
So, I close tomorrow and Thursday, but it's a pay week. With any luck, I won't have such a huge fiasco over my check this time. Hopefully I see an additional $500-550 via direct deposit in my account Thursday. If not, fun will be had. Again.
I put some stuff on eBay to sell, if anyone's interested:
Software: 3D Home Architect, Home Design Special Edition 6
Textbook: Financial and Managerial Accounting
Textbook: Nutrition Concepts and Controversies, 9th Edition
I also bought the PS1 RPG, Xenogears. I'll be purchasing the first Wild Arms game as well--2 great RPGs that I started, borrowed from someone else, but never finished them.
And for those of you keeping track of my SSM leaderboard, here's the current stats: ( SSM Leaderboard/Stats. )
