Happy birthday, A Bit of Wit!
Sunday, 11 September 2005 23:35On this day to remember the events that took place 4 years ago, another event makes its anniversary today.
My LiveJournal is 2 years old today, began back in New Paltz when Catie managed to get everyone in the short-lived group known as Kick-Butt Hall (KBH, for short, which sounds too close to KGB...) on the LJ bandwagon, back when LJ was paid-account or invite only. In 2 years, this LJ has seen many things, and a full run of emotional states. To think, when I began this, I didn't know I was leaving New Paltz and moving to the Cape, didn't know that a relationship with Sarah, later, April was coming in short time, and definitely didn't think I'd be in Kingston now. What a trip these last 2 years have been. So once again, happy birthday, A Bit of Wit.
From Ben, who tagged me, 20 facts about myself.
1) I am an optimist and an idealist. Unfortunately, in an increasingly pessimistic world, my goals and/or expectations of things are usually far from realist.
2) I enjoy being a social creature--I NEED my friends, my wonderful contact with people. However, Wal-Mart is trying to change my view of that.
3) I know American Sign Language, a result of both my parents being deaf.
4) Not religious at all. I find organized religion to be a bunch of bullshit. While I do believe in God, I don't particularly enjoy being told who, what, how, where, when, and why to believe.
5) Second person in my immediate family to go to college.
6) I'm a hopeless romantic, and find all women to contain beauty. Apparently that gets me into trouble sometimes.
7) I usually have high self-esteem, and for the most part, I'm perpetually happy. It takes a lot to piss me off to the point where I'm going to want to hurt you.
8) My first true crush occurred in high school...alas, I was rejected for an online boyfriend.
9) I'm beginning to have a religion forming around me. Every time I go online, it's almost as if I'm reliving the movie Monty Python and the Life of Brian.
10) I love all of my friends very much--they've helped me through some of the roughest times yet.
11) I lost my virginity at 18, and was belittled by my stepsiblings for years because I didn't find a girl. Good thing I waited, for I never expected such a gem like April to fall into my lap.
12) I shot my friend in the ass with a BB gun when he mooned me some years ago. It's the only time I shot anyone. Boy, was it funny.
13) I am the worst chocoholic I know. I use April's period as an excuse to buy me chocolate.
14) I'm quite straight, but I would make the only exception for Sephiroth.
15) In elementary school, I had to go through a few years of speech classes.
16) R.L. Stine was my inspiration to take up writing back in 4th grade, when I was obsessed with Goosebumps.
17) I have one birth defect--a caved-in chest.
18) I firmly think that anyone who works in retail should start off at $20 an hour.
19) I played the role of Mickey Mouse in 2nd grade, performing a play which centered around Mickey Mouse's birthday.
20) I live life one day at a time.
So, I shall tag the following, 1 for every minute that it took me to do those 20 facts:

I told April to make a birthday cake to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of my LJ, didn't think she was going to take it seriously.
I come home, there is a chocolate cake in the refrigerator. YUM!
And don't forget to vote in the Metro City Final, which is in the previous entry!
Time to relax. Nighty night, all.
