Flight deck. Euphimism for COCKpit.
Anyway, the rehiring process has been accelerated a bit. Wal-Mart took my application, Laurie took it to Jay, and I'm in, pending passage of a drug test which I don't have to worry about. I need to re-interview. Useless red tape. However, with that, I can put in my 2 weeks notice at Staples. I mean, I bear no ill will toward anyone at Staples. The reason I'm going back to Wal-Mart is very simple: I like making photographs much more than I like making copies. At Staples, I find myself bored, because there are only so many things one can do with a copying machine. I spent most of the weekend on the Copy Center computer, typing up the Female Gamer Contest Info, because it was that dead.
Speaking of, the tournament bracket is FINISHED. 2 characters needed to get replaced for lack of pics, but other than that, it's DONE. Official. It's now up online at the Bracket Maker web site, the official link to be announced the 10th.
Contest entry begins December 10, and the Female Gamer Character Battle will begin January 15. So everyone will have 35 days to complete their brackets. However, just like my last three contests, a majority of you wait until the last day before sending them in to me, despite me hounding you.
Thanks to everyone who submitted pics and ideas!
April comes home tomorrow, very excited about that. She's been gone since Friday...and I miss her. Her car will be alive again.
However, tomorrow, I won't be. Alan, Laurie, and I want to cut through Wal-tape as quickly as we can. I work 11-7 tomorrow, but I have to re-interview, etc, etc, before than--I'll be up at Wal-Mart sometime around 9, 9:30 AM. Also, the drug test. I've already warned Phil that I may be a little late. Which brings me to my next gripe, but brief. I've been at Staples 6 weeks. And Phil is the type of person who loves barking orders at me. He runs the place as if he was a manager. Which I thought he was. Turns out, he's just a peon like I. Yet I still have to report to him. The man's got some balls.
Ok, brief rant over. Here's what I'm currently selling on eBay. More to come, with links.
