So I'm legal. Now what?
Monday, 20 November 2006 08:37First of all, thank you to everyone who gave me birthday greetings, called and IMed me, gave me eCards, MySpace greetings, and to Joshie for Sephirothing the forum. Yesterday could only be described as fun. It was a great time with friends, although I wish more of you had come. Unfortunately, due to things beyond my control, plans had to be shifted on very short notice from having my birthday in New Paltz to here. Regardless, we had Mary, James, Wyatt, Kristen, April, her brother Ryan, and myself. Kristen I was especially glad to see, since the last time I saw her was over 3 years ago, back when I was still living in Ramapo.
So, as everyone arrived, I broke out the NES for everyone's dorkdom, and yay 8-bit pixels. Chatted, showed off my pics, then because the natives (Wyatt and Ryan) were getting hungry for food, we went to the Olive Garden...and was there for 2 hours. Yay weekend restaurant madness. After, went to Wal-Mart briefly so I could pick up pictures for the RenFaire contest and to also make my first alcohol purchase. YAY.
Dan H., RenFaire contest pics MUST be postmarked by TODAY. If you haven't already, GET YOUR ASS TO THE POST OFFICE.
We got back, had cake, and broke out the mead. And Mike's. And Smirnoff Ice Triple Black. April's parents came to pick up Ryan, and then we had more drink after they'd gone. Wyatt christened his gallon-size stein (which CAN fit an entire 750 mL bottle of mead) with copious amounts of mead. During the cake, I received my gifts:
--Nintendo DS (original, not the Lite)
--Mario Kart DS
--A total of $85 in free money (which will very likely go into Brian's Wii funds)
And a great time had by everyone. So, with drink in everyone, most of us played Apples to Apples. I got progressively looser (is that even a word?) with each passing drink, but stopped after 2 Mikes, some vodka, and a glass of mead. Not only was I nicely relaxed, but I can't drink too much as a result of my meds. I realized just how much fun it is when you're playing with several, pretty devout Christians...who also have just as filthy minds as I do, except not as vocal about it.
Got some pics (1 roll's worth), and those will be developed. It was nearly midnight when they all left, and then the night closed with some birthday sex.
Now, I'm about to go to work.
Thanks, everyone. Very, very much. It was great. AND NOW I'VE GOT A DS OMGSQUEE! Now I must hunt down FF3.
