Thank you, Brie, for providing me with the LJ title. It makes it funnier coming from someone who's actually Jewish who's snarfing on a slice of rye bread.

So, the weekend has come and gone, and we're now partied out. Excellent fun was had over the weekend. Was it relaxing? Not in the slightest. I'm going to bed right after I'm done here.

It began Friday night after work when Mary and James were the first to arrive. We went to Wal-Mart in the hunt for a Christmas tree (since last year, most Wal-Marts had real trees in stock). This objective failed, for this one didn't have any. We did get the groceries and booze, the secondary objective. We were fed, played Molf (of which James did very well for his first time playing), and it was a calm night.

Saturday morning rolls around and April and I head to Lowe's for the second attempt at a tree. This time, we were victorious. (cue FF victory fanfare. Brian and April gain 583 experience points each, which causes a LEVEL UP) We get back home, April goes into the kitchen and we game for a bit until Brie, Ben, and Wyatt show up. Ben shows up with a toy.

THE WII. (SHINE GET!)

This is my first time I have handled said Wii, and shortly after introductions, hugs, and some introductory words, the Wii is plugged in, and I finally get to not only see this thing in action, but actually play it. Hell, I was hooked the moment I played Wii Sports. I know for a fact I will spend hours playing the bowling (ESPECIALLY THE BOWLING), tennis, and baseball games. I also know I will spend hours creating Miis. Ben created a Mii of myself, and for April's amusement, Ben had created a Mii of April's latest obsession, V (spelled Vii) from V for Vendetta. I also got to try the intro for Zelda: Twilight Princess (Goat in!), and I want. I WANT THE THING NOW DAMN IT.

I got to play with Ben's Wii.

Most of the day was spent in great company and gaming, whether it was via Wii, PS2, GC, or multiplayer Mario Kart via the DS. April spent all day in the kitchen, but loved it, as she made several dishes for dinner, of which we all ate heartily. She's a good cook, what can I say? Toward the late evening, we decorated our Christmas tree, and then our guests opened the gifts we bought them. Dan Hausner was due to arrive around the evening, but ended up getting forced to socialize with his family back in Ramapo, so he was going to come up here by early afternoon on Sunday. Then we all played Apples to Apples (always funny), then watched the MST3K version of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians and nearly made Brie's head explode. SO MUCH MARTIAN BUTT. Finally, it was nearly 2 AM when we all went to bed.

Sunday, April, Wyatt, and myself were the first three up. Everyone else was asleep at least till noon, but before that, the three of us ducked out and went to the diner a couple minutes back up the road. After we ate, they had all woken up by the time we got back, and some of them made breakfast. And more gaming was had. Lucky for those who brought laptops--they were playing Warcraft (now Warcrack) via stealing my internet connection from my router. I wonder what would happen if my router was down and they came up...

Sadly, James and Mary had to be somewhere, so they were the first to go. Dan Hausner was due to arrive by mid afternoon, but he successfully locked himself out of his car near New Paltz and was delayed as he needed someone to unlock the door for him. He arrived around 3ish, and Ben, Brie, and Wyatt made their exit near 5. After, Dan H. stayed the night with us, and April and Dan swapped much music while I attempted to kill Margulis (from Xenosaga 3) and failed both times. GOT HIM TONIGHT, THOUGH. Kinda one sided, though:

My party of 3: 70,000 HP each.
Margulis: 800,000 HP.

First time I hit game over at any point in this game, now 34 hours in. Not bad.

Sadly, we had to go to work today, even though we were dead tired. Tomorrow is the office Christmas party, which means no work will be done. AT ALL. And I'll get paid for it.

To everyone who came to our party, from April and I: thank you. Thank you very much. We'd been wanting to do something like this for a long time, and it was a blast. You guys are welcome anytime. To those people we invited but couldn't come: we'll try again another time. We'll get you up here SOMEHOW.

Ok, brain over.

Nighty night, all.
