Friday, 3 October 2008 20:24Much thanks, hugs, and love to those who read April's recent LJ post and wished me well. To those not in the know, I was rendered bed-ridden and in extreme pain as a result of a flare-up of my Crohn's yesterday. Triggered by something in the dinner I had Wednesday night, mild stomach discomfort yesterday morning gave way to that familiar knife-in-the-gut feeling that just cripples me. No fever accompanied this flare-up, thank god, but there was certainly plenty of vomiting to go around. I could not keep anything down, not even water, and I was beginning to get worried. Had it continued into today, I would've gone to the hospital. However, the flare-up has subsided, so it seems...the gut, for the moment, is tamed. A big thanks to my lovely, who worries so much whenever one of these happens to me.
Provided this good feeling currently continues, I'll be heading to the CT RenFaire tomorrow, get to go there for the first time. In a week, I'll be on my way to Cape Cod and King Richard's Faire, which will officially end my Faire season.
For now, I will continue to rest.
