So, here we are at the end of April, and God has flicked on the heat lamp. I feel like death warmed over. It shouldn't be near 90 degrees in late April. Not yet. What happened to the nice leadup, Sir Almighty? Where we gradually creep up to the griddle of summer, when we need to spray ourselves with PAM to keep from sticking to everything--where'd that leadup go? You saw it fit to go from mid-50s on Friday to lower 90s on Saturday. Although the tree-splosion is nice, with the plant life in an orgasm of blossoming, I want my 60s and low 70s back, at least until June or so. I'd like to enjoy a few months of a low electric bill before my AC will NOM NOM NOM on our bank account. What's worse is that it's the type of heat that just sucks the energy out of you. It's just after 10 AM, I just woke up, and already the ambient eww makes me want to crawl back to bed. However, I do have to go to work in a couple of hours, so I just may do that.

Ah, well.

In other news, my first semester back in college is drawing to a close. Wednesday marks my second and last of my finals, and also marks my last payment to Sage for the semester. Friday the semester officially ends. So far, grades look AWESOME, and then this weekend, April, Luc, and myself will descend on New Paltz for the Hudson Valley Mayfaire--a mini RenFaire held on the Ulster County Fairgrounds. It's only this weekend, so if you wanna go, go. Quite a few performers from the New York RenFaire come and perform here as well, like Philip Hole (ta-da!), Jeff the Wandering Minstrel, but...no Dextre Tripp. This Faire is held to raise money for the Queen's Galley, a charity to help fight hunger.

And even better--on the main page of the Mayfaire, there is an image of Wyatt and Shanti playing a board game outside the gaming tent. Admission is $10 for both days.

Last weekend was the first free weekend I had since college began in January, and it was spent eating at this great hole-in-the-wall restaurant with Peter and Erica, and then we went to Colonie Center. April had some birthday gift cards to use, and I...am broke. Not until Wednesday will I have money again. And I'm planning on TWO video game purchases--Parasite Eve 2 (PS1), and Bioshock (PS3). Both are games I've wanted to play--PE2 because the first Parasite Eve was AWESOME, and Bioshock because it looks great and has the potential for an awesome plot. Wednesday. Even though I was broke and bought nothing at Colonie Center--I should know better to go to a mall when I'm BROKE--I did get to enjoy the Red Sox embarrass the Yankees. ALL WEEKEND. Even more awesome--April watched Friday's game with me. I swear, there's something up.

I'm so glad to be getting my weekends back. The courses were awesome, but I'm glad to get my weekends back. In two weeks, my schedule will go back to its normal 8-4 on Monday to Friday. No more of these 10 hour days. Eew. Great when I'm busy, hell if there's nothing to do.

All righty, let's see if I can beat Dragon Quest 4 before going to work. That's if I don't sizzle away.
