Character Battle 10: Metal Gear begins: Virtuous Division, Battles 1 and 2

So here it is, everyone. The 10th Character Battle Contest is about to start--the showdown of 64 characters from the Metal Gear franchise begins here. For the next 35 days or so, the field will ultimately be whittled down to two, and then one will be crowned champion. To the 15 people who entered for the grand prize, one of YOU will also be declared champion. As the winner of the previous contest did not enter, we will have a new champion. Some have won before, and some have come close, but haven't. And sometimes, the champion charges forth from the bottom of the standings, stealing victory in the final battles. Will EyesOfATragedy, Saya, or Kinie get their 3rd win? Or what about the newcomers--we have two people in this lineup who have never competed before; will they snatch the win in their debut? By the end of July, we'll find out. We begin with the first two battles of the Virtuous Division, which you'll see below. Once you see these battles and vote, please go over to Late to the Party and vote there as well. The winners of each battle are determined by the SUM OF THE VOTES FROM BOTH MY LJ AND LATE TO THE PARTY. Each battle in Round 1 is worth 25 points, all there for your taking.
