25 years down, and hopefully, 75 more to go. At least.
All in all, a great birthday weekend, even though it was slightly marred at the end. Saw the new Harry Potter movie on Friday, and enjoyed it; I'm looking forward, however, to the upcoming Narnia movie in December.
Yesterday, I, April, her family, and Danielle went to the Olive Garden for my birthday feast, and then followed what was called the "diabetes cake." I asked April to make a cake for me, and it ended up being four layers--big chocolate chip cookie on the bottom, chocolate cake, then another big cookie, then chocolate cake. Positively delicious, but one couldn't have a large slice--it was quite rich. After that, it was back home for a 5-person Monopoly game with Erica, Peter, Ryan, and Luc. Shockingly, I was the first one eliminated--I didn't even have the chance to limp to my death. Luc won, even though he claimed he hasn't played Monopoly before. Still, fun times were had.
Today, April, Danielle and I went to the State Museum--I hadn't anticipated it being that huge. Wonderful place. Unfortunately, April got sick on our way to Denny's, and now she's resting.
And so am I. Tomorrow I go back to work for the first time in two months, and I'm actually looking forward to it--while I don't mind staying home, being home for two months has given me a little bit of cabin fever. Also, I have a visit with the surgeon this week--I'm hoping for some good news. I feel fine, save for what's left of the wound still open, and I'm hoping he thinks it's time to stop packing the wound and let the thing finally close for good.
Finally, I bit the bullet and got a paid deviantART membership. Why? Because dA is currently running a special that expires tomorrow--buy one membership, get one free. Normally it's $30 for a year, but I couldn't pass up the chance to get a two-year membership for $30. So check out Mad Squirrel's deviantART.
Now to enjoy my birthday gift: a PSP with Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.
