So, welcome to December and stuff, where I think I've experienced 3 of the 4 seasons in the past few weeks--from bitter cold to spring-like temperatures. So, some brief blurbs in the Life of Brian:
All is mostly well here, and much has happened in these last few weeks--Danielle is now all moved into her new apartment a few minutes down the road, finally experiencing complete independence. I'm hopeful that everyone, but most especially her, will be better for it.
I was down in Washingtonville last weekend visiting family, most of whom I'd seen at my mom's 50 and 7/12's birthday party last August, and I enjoyed seeing all of them again. Hopefully it won't be another year-plus before my next trip--after all, Rockland Bakery is down that way, and it was too long since I had a good bagel.
This week, we got our Christmas tree, and now the place smells of pine. I like. Also had April's family over here (for once) for dinner; a successful evening as April made a loaded lasagna. April and I saw the new Narnia movie yesterday, and we enjoyed it quite a bit.
On the health front, things continue to improve--I can pretty much do just about everything I could do pre-surgery, including sex. Although I seem to have hit a new snag--recent blood work has shown that my liver enzymes were elevated. This is a new issue, and something that concerns me. My gastro seems to think that the elevated liver enzymes are a result of new, triglyceride-lowering medication I began last summer, and so I've been taken off them. In a few weeks, my blood will be tested again. For now, I'm not worried. If, in a few weeks after being off this medication, the results are the same, then I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. No sense in creating worry.
This weekend, April and I will be down in NYC, seeing
ink_n_imp as well as Vixens En Garde in their new show, "Rapier Wit." Looking forward to it.
And lastly, thanks to the...3 people who actually gave me feedback on what images to submit in the Sony DSLR photo contest on deviantART. To see which ones I submitted, check here: Sony Contest Entry
And that's it, really. Life's good, for the most part. But now I'm hungry, so time to raid the fridge.
