Put the pickle down, Uncle John.

Dear God, what the fuck am I doing up at this hour?
I know exactly why I'm wired and awake at nearly 4:30 AM...I've spent tonight doing more cleaning. I reek of Comet, some citrus-y smelling degreaser, Windex, and oven cleaner. I could become the household chemicals aisle at Wal-Mart.
Packing is pretty much done. We've packed April's car to the fullest, and what's left (which is now sitting in the living room) will go in the van of April's mom. In terms of cleaning, I've done now pretty much the apartment from top to bottom. I just finished the bathroom, and now the kitchen is done, mostly--oven cleaner is sitting in the oven for a couple hours, I'll clean it out in a few hours. Also, I need to clean the refrigerator, which won't be too hard. It's mostly spotless inside anyway. The last will be a re-Swiffering of the kitchen, followed by a final vacuum of the living room when all this shite is packed and ready to go.
As a result, I will NOT be in New Paltz later today. We have a pre-inspection this morning, we'll see if I need to do anything else to the apartment before leaving. Then comes the final inspection this afternoon to determine whether we get our security deposit back...that $805 extra WOULD be very nice toward the new apartment.
The day will also consist of running around Kingston returning things--I have to go to Staples for 2 things: returning my uniforms, and also to UPS the DSL modem back to Verizon. I may need to run to Wal-Mart for some things, also need to go to the Post Office to mail out Fullmetal Alchemist back to Carolyn, in addition to sending out Mom's day cards. April needs to go to B&N to return some stuff back to her friends...oh, busy. After tomorrow, the phone WILL be disconnected, so those of you who have my home phone number will need to nix that. Until we get our new apartment, I give you my cell: 845-853-5247.
Later on, the internet will be disconnected, and so this may be the last LJ I post while living in Kingston. I'll be in Albany before the day is out, watching Game 2 of Yanks/Red Sox. I was very pleased at the 14-3 bashing of the Yankees. Turns out that A-Rod, the most expensive player in baseball, is human after all. It was interesting to listen to the game and just listening in awe as the Yanks seemingly forgot how to play baseball. We'll see what happens in Game 2.
All right, it's nearly 5 AM, and the birds are chirping. Maybe I'll get a nap?
Nighty night, all.
