Fine. I'll bite.
Goings-on in my world at this point:
In the news, creativity continues, which is all well and good. Spoke to my family recently, picked up some juicy tidbits from the house on Cape Cod. My stepsister has given birth to her second child, another boy, named after the dad, James. I pray that this second child doesn't end up in such a horrible state like her first child, who's now a couple of years old (or close) and still living in the hospital with tubes and whatnot, a product of Jen's neglect. Let's hope Massachusetts doesn't take this one away too. Yes, it's a little bit much, but I have just the tiniest shred of hope that Jen maybe, possibly, smartened up after her first try.
Rob is still going out with his current girl, Tanya, for over a year now. Well done. Still quite the pothead.
My stepfather's sister is now also pregnant, but she cheated and took the shortcut via artificial insemination, or as my stepbrother Rob put it so eloquently, the "lesbian approach." My step-aunt hates guys, but wanted a kid without the fun or work. So, congrats.
Mom is mom, doing well. Bob is Bob, also doing well. We're going to visit them on the Cape on the weekend of Oct. 13-15, in which we are also going to King Richard's Faire. It will be the first time I've seen my family in about a year. Very excited for that.
Been feeling a bit nostalgic on the gaming front--I've been having an urge to play Spyro for the PS1. There's a plethora of PS1 games that I began some time ago, enjoyed, but never finished because I usually borrowed the game from someone, gave it back, or just haven't played. I was many hours into Wild Arms and Xenosaga when my PS1 memory card containing said files broke...now I have to start over for the umpteenth time. So I bought 2 PS1 memory cards from eBay and I purchased Spyro as well, brand new. It was one of those things where you pay more for shipping than the actual item. I won both PS1 memory cards (brand new) and Spyro (brand new) for 1 cent each. Total shipping came to $15.
The memory cards have arrived. Game to come soon.
I've also been loving a file-sharing program recommended to me by Ben--uTorrent. I've been using it to nab soundtracks that would normally cost a fortune. Video game soundtracks. Normally I have no problem giving money to the cause of music...but not when most of that is going to shipping because the soundtrack has to be imported from Japan. So, I've got Chrono Trigger, FF7, Metal Gear Solid 3, Xenosaga Episodes 1 and 2, and currently downloading the FF12 soundtrack. Good stuff, all in all.
As for my current contest, we are in the Semifinals, with 12 battles left to play before it comes to an end. I've already been given a suggestion for the Winter Contest, and I like it. However, as I've decided the theme for the last two, I'll let you all decide the theme of my 6th character battle contest when comes time. The contest will end one week from this Friday.
And this weekend is the closing weekend of the New York Renaissance Faire, of which April and I are very excited, as is our New Paltz friends who are coming along for this final, festive weekend. For me, it'll feel like the end of summer...which it is, actually. The camera will be brought, as I can't pass up the chance to see not only our party of females dressed up all RenFaire-like, but of the many sights to see at the RenFaire. We'll be leaving for New Paltz on Friday night, spending the weekend at the Faire (returning to NP at the conclusion of the nights), then coming home late Sunday night.
Fun awaits. Right now, sleep (and sex, possibly in reverse order) await.
Nighty night, all.
