$2 million and still living in a trailer park.

So, the weekend passed all too quickly, methinks. As I had hoped for, I got a lot of writing done, and so far I'm ahead of my goal. For tonight, I only did a little writing--it was a busy night, with laundry and rescuing my RenFaire shirt from being soaked with blue-green dye forever. I had put my RenFaire clothes in the washing machine with April's RenFaire-like dress, set the machine to delicates, and thought that'd be that. Nooooooooooooo. Even in a cold, gentle wash, dye had run off of April's dark green dress and onto my white shirt, giving it a nice blue-green hue. Annoyed (since that shirt cost me $90), I tried to soak it in cold water to get the dye out. Nothing. Rubbed salt into it. Nothing. I consulted the website of the store where I purchased said shirt, found the care instructions, and said that while they do not recommend using bleach at all, it could be used as a last resort to get nasty stains out. I rushed out in my PJs--the only pants I had left--and walked 5 minutes to CVS, bought bleach, threw the shirt back into the wash...and with the help of the bleach, the shirt is now white again. That will be the first and only time I ever use bleach on that shirt. From now on, I hand-wash it.
In other news, purchased the bus tickets for this weekend's trip to Ithaca. When I got home, I realized that I was going to run out of my Crohn's medication this Sunday, before I'd leave Ithaca. Which means I now have to buck up the $25 to get a refill. Last thing I want is to run out of meds and be doubled over in pain, causing Carolyn worry and panic as she sees my intestines rebel against me. As such, that means that I'll have no "free" money to spend while in Ithaca--all the money I take will be for food expenses. Ah, well. I can't do anything until pay day anyway, and that's in 9 days.
I come to find out that the Resident Evil 4 strategy guide I ordered (for use as a reference while writing this novelization) is on back order, and will be shipping at any point between now and two days before Thanksgiving. Gee, thanks, Amazon. Depending on how far I get into this novelization, I may end up just canceling it--I only need it for the maps and visuals. It would save on me having to take notes while playing the game, thus giving me more time to write. Ah, well--this is how I've done game novelizations in the past. If I have to do it all this way, so be it. Besides, I love the game.
So, I finish tonight with a word count of 14,188 out of 50,000. Tomorrow's minimum goal: 16,250. Now, bed.
Nighty night, all.
