Generation Seven entry period has ended.

Time's up, everyone. The month for entry into the Generation Seven character battle contest has ended, and I thank all who entered. We have 15 total entrants competing for the grand prize, which is about average, but less than what I hoped for, considering some people who've done contests pasts and were thinking about entering never did. However, it's to be expected--it's the summer, and most of you have lives: summer contest turnouts are always less than winter contests.

Regardless, here is our tournament field:

And of course, I'll be keeping my own unofficial tally. If you haven't done so yet, print out or save a copy of your contest bracket--they'll be up on the Bracket Maker site until the contest starts, at which point I am deleting them as to prevent possible cheating.

Tomorrow I go on vacation, but when I return on Saturday, I've one day to prepare, and then on 7:30 ET, Monday, July 9, the contest begins with the first 2 battles of the Nintendo Division: (1) Mario (SMB) vs. (32) Peter Pepper (Burgertime); (17) Mr. Game & Watch (G&W) vs. (16) Pit (Kid Icarus).
