Battle Royal, Day 27. Also, Week 4 leaderboard!

So, despite a weekend set of battles, both favorites won very handily, with Space Invader taking the win over HK-47 (who can beat a character as classic as the Space Invader, anyway? Maybe Pac-Man...), and Master Chief taking the EASY win over Shane Carpenter. And so, with that said, it's time to post the Week 4 Leaderboard. Once again, I'll pick up where I left off a week ago, solely for the benefit of those who should be shamed--shamed that you never downloaded and listened to our last podcast put up a couple days ago. Naughty, naughty Kool Aid. Also, click to check out an important addition to the rules.
Rest of Third Quest, Round 1:
ROXAS 24 (27 predicted)
Lash 2
Little Mac 12
MARTH 14 (27 predicted)
Bill Rizer 6
RIDLEY 14 (19 predicted)
Leen 2
FRAN 18 (27 predicted)
MAGUS 21 (26 predicted)
Haseo 2
RAYMAN 12 (9 predicted)
Sakura 11
MAI SHIRANUI 18 (TIEBREAKER, 24 predicted)
Alex Roivas 17
Tombi 1
CRONO 36 (29 predicted)
Fourth Dimension, Round 1:
SONIC 24 (28 predicted)
LocoRoco 3
Monica 8
LAHARL 17 (20 predicted)
SPACE INVADER 14 (20 predicted)
HK-47 6
Shane Carpenter 2
MASTER CHIEF 19 (29 predicted)

On the records front: MoonSword broke the record for consecutive battles won--the old record was 22, and he managed to pull a 31-battle streak before incorrectly guessing Monica to win over Laharl. He also got into the All-16 Club by guessing every battle in the opening round in the Third Quest division correct, making him the 3rd person to do it this contest (along with TetsuoTrunks and Mort), and the 6th overall. In terms of longest win streak, TetsuoTrunks' run at the top came to an end at 23 straight days in 1st, as a result of the first contest tiebreaker between Mai and Alex. Looking at the remaining schedule, no one can break his overall record of 46. Finally, Kodraenir and CrystalGuardian have a tie for consecutive battles lost (4 each).
One final important item: I made an addition to the contest rules about a week and a half ago, nothing major, but it must be said. If you listened to the second podcast, then you know about it already, but here it is: in the event of a tie in any of the top 3 positions at the end of the contest, the player who has the BEST win-loss record will be declared the winner of that position. It is possible to end with the same score as someone but have a completely different record. Example:
TetsuoTrunks and Joshie finish in a tie for 1st. But TetsuoTrunks has a 100-28 record, and Joshie has a 98-30 record--TetsuoTrunks would be declared winner, and Joshie would be declared 2nd place winner.
In the event the people in question are tied AND have the same record, then the prize gets awarded to all who are tied for said position.
If 3 or more people are tied for any of the winning positions, then the best record would be declared winner:
--If TetsuoTrunks, Mort, and MoonSword all finished in 1st, but Mort had a 100-28 record, TetsuoTrunks had a 99-29 record, and MoonSword had a 98-30 record; then Mort would be declared winner, TetsuoTrunks would be declared 2nd place, and MoonSword would be declared 3rd place.
Hopefully, I haven't confused the hell out of you, but if I have, you can always ask. While we've never had a tie at the end of these contests, I don't want to be clueless should it happen in a field this size. With everything said, go vote!
